Regenecell - Stem Cell Therapy Info Sheet

The product
Regenecell procures its human umbilical cord stem cells from a laboratory that utilises the most modern methods of stem cell production, in that the facility must be GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) approved. This means that it has to have an international accreditation recognised by first-world medical authorities like the FDA. Quality cannot be compromised when injecting biological preparations into human beings so production occurs in a sterile environment free of infections and contaminants.

The cells are ordered specifically for each patient and production takes a minimum of four weeks before they can be packaged into vials, frozen in liquid nitrogen and sent to our storage facility where they are stored prior to each patient’s arrival.

Types of Stem Cell Therapy
The procedure, amount and type of stem cells for stem cell therapy differ between disease types according to the following factors:

» System affected (neurological – multiple sclerosis, cardiac – cardiac failure, etc.)
» Immune system involvement (Rheumatoid arthritis)
» Age of the patient
» Weight of the patient
» Allergies
» Medication
» Clotting profile

Stem Cell Therapy Centres
Although it may entail travel to a suitable location, you will be treated by a physician with premier academic credentials with stem cells that have been subject to strict protocols in terms of production and transport.

The treatment packages include the cost of the stem cell treatment, as well as all ground transportation for the patient and one companion.

Patients can return home the day after stem cell therapy is completed.

Zona Rio, Mexico
Patients are treated at the International Bio Care Hospital located in Zona Rio, Mexico. This center is ideal for North American patients, as it is just a short drive from the California border.

Dr Melba Romero and her staff administer the stem cells, and offer patients expert care and a comfortable experience during this procedure.
This is an inpatient facility where the patient stays at the clinic with their caregiver.

Mumbai, India
India has been a leading venue for regenerative medicine, and is ideal for patients from Europe and Asia.

Patients are under the care of specialist physician Dr Hasnain Patel, and treated at his private rooms in Mumbai.

Stem cell therapy is on an outpatient basis, with transported provided for the short distance from the hotel. The hotel costs are not included in the treatment fee.

Booking a date
When you have paid for your therapy you will be given a date for stem cell therapy depending on the waiting list – it is usually in about 8 weeks. We suggest that you ask your travel agent to arrange your visas and passports and make sure that you arrive a day or two early and depart a day after your last treatment. Please ensure that you have travel medical insurance.

Daily Stem Cell Therapy
You, and your companion, will be collected daily from the hotel for stem cell therapy and taken to the clinic and dropped off again after. We suggest that, after your return you stay in your room and rest until the next day. Most patients feel sleepy after the stem cell infusion and do not experience any adverse effects. Our local doctor and the Regenecell call centre will be available for you at all times by cellphone in case of any emergency.

The procedure
Generally stem cell therapy will last 4 days and will look something like this:

» Day 1: stem cell growth factor injection intravenous
» Day 2: mesenchymal stem cells + stem cell growth factors intravenous
» Day 3: CD34+ stem cells intrathecal/intravenous/intracardiac and mesenchymal stem cells + stem cell growth factors intravenous
» Day 4: stem cell growth factor injection intravenous

The procedure only takes 1-2 hours per day and involves the simple administration of stem cells and stem cell growth factors via an intravenous line. The cardiac and central nervous system procedures take longer and necessitate an overnight stay in hospital.

Stem Cell Therapy Costs
The costs are dependant on the treatment protocol required. As a general guide, an intravenous procedure costs from $20 000 and a more intensive procedure, such as intrathecal (via lumbar puncture) from $25 000.

RegAmp™ Growth factors – a unique addition
These stem cell growth factors are given to ensure three very important processes, which are essential to the success of your stem cell therapy and is unique to Regenecell. The addition of RegAmp™ enhances the effect of stem cells by:

» Increasing the extrusion of your own stem cells out of your bone marrow.
» The prevention of our stem cells from entering, and yours from re-entering, your bone marrow where they are stored and not utilised.
» The colonisation of affected tissue by the umbilical stem cells and your own stem cells.

By utilising this process we literally flood your body with stem cells for 5 days and this prolonged exposure of your organs to the increased amount of stem cells provides the benefit that we see so often in our stem cell therapy.

Safety
Although no medical procedure is absolutely risk-free, this process has been shown to be extremely safe in all ages and our patients have never experienced any adverse events. The only discomfort is being away from home and the daily jab of a needle, which for most, is minor.
